Who We Are
Hi, I’m Chianna Aghomon, the founder of Our Village Nanny Agency — and most importantly, a parent who understands how hard it can be to trust someone new with your child. When my family first hired a nanny, I experienced firsthand how emotional, overwhelming, and ultimately transformative that process can be. A great nanny doesn’t just care for your child — they become part of your rhythm, your peace of mind, and your daily life.
That experience is what inspired me to start Our Village. I wanted to create a service that doesn’t just connect families with caregivers, but truly supports parents through the process — because it takes a village, and no one should have to build theirs alone.
At Our Village, we place long-term, short-term, and ROTA (rotational) nannies who bring reliability, warmth, and genuine care into your home. Every family and every nanny we work with is treated with respect, compassion, and understanding — because we know how much trust goes into this kind of relationship.
How We Work
Our process is designed to make things feel simple, transparent, and supportive from start to finish.
- Meet & Learn: We start by meeting with you to answer questions, understand your family’s needs, and get a sense of your timeline and preferences.
- Search & Screen: Once a $200 sourcing fee and sourcing agreement are in place, we begin the search — conducting interviews, validating references, and running background checks to ensure every candidate meets our high standards.
- Connect: We’ll help coordinate and schedule final-round interviews with your top three candidates, guiding you through each step as you get to know them and find the right fit for your family.
- Choose: Once you’ve selected your nanny, we’ll assist with the offer of employment, provide a customizable nanny contract template, and ensure everything feels clear and aligned. At this stage, a $1,000 referral fee is due.
- Ongoing Support: If, for any reason, your chosen nanny does not continue working with your family within the first 90 days, we’ll source a new round of candidates at no additional charge.
